Lessons From the Flood
Feb 01, 2024*This originally went out as a email, but so many have asked to share with friends, that I'm posting here as an easy to share blog*
It's been a busy, busy two weeks here are LFH HQ.
And not just because we had our second launch of Reclaim Your Metabolism, which we did and it was amazing.
We had a water leak.
And when I saw "water leak" I mean that a pipe burst in our heating system that is in our attic and ran for hours before we got home to find a pool of water and a monsoon in our kitchen.
Below the kitchen in my clinic space.
So that was ruined. And the kitchen. And the living room and play room.
So basically all the rooms.
Roughly 75% of the house will be down the studs by the end of this week.
I prayed the week before that I could provide some adversity for my kids, who seem to think that life should be easy.
I didn't really expect God to take it to such an extreme, but here we are!
I also am excited to design a kitchen. BUT I'd rather not have had it happen this way.
When something crazy like this happens (you'll remember my brush with death last Christmas on the icy hill), I'm always reflective of what can I learn from it.
Other than you should try not to have a boiler system to heat the house.
Other than the fact that I was forced to throw out a ton of junk and make countless trips to Goodwill, I have found that in the chaos my life became very clear.
God, my family, and my business are what give me LIFE. I love them.
God and my family will always be #1 and #2. What I didn't appreciate however, was how much I LOVE what I do. I LOVE helping others. I LOVE helping them have breakthroughs in their health, in their relationship with food, and in helping them figure out how to model the life they want their children to be witness to.
And when my business had to be put on the back burner (and my clinic destroyed), it made me realize how critical it is to have a group coaching program.
Because my incredible RYM members were able to keep plugging along, making progress, kicking a** and taking names all while my world imploded, literally (the ceiling actually fell into the kitchen).
They HAD all the resources they needed at their fingertips. They HAD the online group where they supported each other when I couldn't.
The beauty of a being a group is so much more than just learning remotely.
The community that is being built is so fun to watch.
They are transforming their lives the lives of the people around them, one module at a time.
Think that this is something you might be interested in? Check out what RYM is and why YOU are the perfect fit. Because if you are here, there's a reason. If you are reading this, there is a reason.
The details on the next round can be found here. And I'm telling you, the next round is going to be explosive. I'm bringing in content that people pay 5 figures for. But not you. Seriously, mark your calendars because it's gonna be amazing!
As a side note: I am working on a pediatric program. The plan was a fall 2024 launch, and I'm hoping still to stick to that, although I may have to push it back. IF this is something you are interested in piloting, please reply to this email and let me know.
In the meantime, I'll just be over here in a giant, rented trailer on our property so that I can cook real food and stay close to home - my trailer has a kitchen island and a nicer kitchen that my first apartment!
We'll also have to chat another time about how much my stomach has hurt from not eating home cooked food for the past 2 weeks! What an eye opener that was!
I don't believe that there is anything we aren't design to handle. But we need the right tools. Both in a house remodel and in overhauling our health. Those tools are HERE. You have access to them at Larson Family Health. We can't wait to work with you!
